"Europeans are in July and that gives you a bit 'of a dip in the season, so the games are definitely do-able. I do not mind that it is in Delhi, it is. I like to experiment with different locations. The nutritionist may suggest we take some of our food.
"It could be a bit 'naive, but I just think about racing, training and doing my job," he said. "We hope that others can do their work and gather. I would like to compete and if we can defend a title that is a great result. An international gold medal is what train and work, so it is important .
Dobriskey said: 'A lot of athletes from one day decided not to compete and I am a bit' is rather surprised because such a prestigious event. I thought it might be seen as things were going all summer and thus their decisions. Just take part of the fixtures and the calendar.
Dobriskey, who won a silver medal in 1500 at the World Championships last year, will again be a true competitor, when the Olympics come to London in 2012. Still, winning the gold in the last Commonwealth Games is an unforgettable experience for her. "When I won in Melbourne was one of the most special experiences I've had," he said. "E 'meant so much. It's such a well supported event, you're mixing with athletes from different sports and athletes' village' was amazing. You do not get too many opportunities to experience this."
His sentiments echo the comments made in November by Dame Kelly Holmes, who won two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games and a silver. "Medals are always there. They last a lifetime. I would never willingly missed any league in my career. I'm proud of every medal that I won," said Holmes.
