Wrestling Stadium opened, set to inspire great competition

The field of play measures 56mx38m & has Maple wood flooring with three competition mats. The warm–up hall has four mats on a field of play that measures 34mx37m & has Maple wood flooring.

The newly-constructed Wrestling Stadium in the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, four of the venues for this year's Commonwealth Games, was inaugurated by Union Sports minister M S Gill here on Sunday. The 6,000-seater state-of-the-art venue has been built at a cost of Rs 120 crore & has a built-up area of 22,350 square metres.

It is also equipped with Green building features like thermal insulation of roof with rock wool insulation, gypsum board partitions & wall panelling, external glazing with low-energy tinted glasses & energy efficient lighting fixtures etc.

The field of play will be tested during the Asian championship that will be held from May 12 to 16.
