Du Toit on a Gold rush

In sport-S9 50m freestyle, Natalie Du Toit of South Africa who competed in the Beijing Olympics with able-bodied swimmers in open water for 10 kilometers, has a gold medal hat-trick yesterday in a record time of 29.17 seconds Games, adding to his victories in the event at the Games in Manchester in 2002 and in Melbourne in 2006.

Australian Anna Williams (29.42) sealed the silver, while Stephanie Millward of England took the bronze with a time of 29.69.

It was also the last race in that class Du Toit with disabilities. "I knew it was my last race as 50-meter freestyle (S9) swimmer and what a way to finish with a gold," he said.
