Paralympic gold medallist archer blazes a new trail, makes it to England squad

Paralympic gold medalist Danielle Brown has been named in the England team archery for the 2010 Commonwealth Games Delhi. The 22-year-old will become the first Paralympian to represent Britain in an event without disabilities in the Games.

Queen’s Baton 2010 Delhi visits UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bodh Gaya




On Wednesday, 2010 Queen's Baton visited Delhi Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, famous for being the place where Buddha attained enlightenment. The baton then proceeded to the state capital, Patna.

In Patna, the relay began at the Raj Bhavan and culminated at Shri Krishna Memorial Hall. There were 36 Batonbearers who participated in the relay. Honourable Governor of Bihar was the first Devanand Konwar Batonbearer. Many international athletes participated in the relay. Among them, C Prasad, international footballer, Ms. Kumari Smita, gold medalist in SAF Games Kabaddi, Mr. Krishna Kumar Sharma, qualifying World Championships in Athletics and Mr. Rajeev Kr Singh, gold medalist in Kabaddi, Asian Games. Other eminent people were present at the sporting and cultural relay Secretary Mr. Vivek Singh, Minister of Human Resource Development, Anjali Kumar Singh, Krishan District Sports Officer Mohan Pandey and Sports Secy. Delhi 2010 will offer Commonwealth athletes best opportunity to perform: Kalmadi

OC moves into Talkatora Indoor Stadium - and in operational phase

Organising Committee Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi (Delhi 2010 GTC OC) on Friday started its operational phase for the celebrations in October, when his team moved to the headquarters of the Talkatora Stadium, home of boxing. Australian track and field squad rises to 74
