
2010 Queen's Baton of Delhi has received a warm welcome throughout the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir.
2010 Queen's Baton was received at Delhi International Airport Srinagar by Mr RS Chib, Honourable Minister of Sports and Education and Janab Syed Aga Ruhullah, Honourable Minister of Livestock, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Director of General Services Youth and Sports in J & K. The witness visited famous Nishat Garden.
The ceremony began with a brief speech by the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr. Chib to ensure proper sports infrastructure at the site of J & K athletes. The meeting of about 2000 people in the Nishat Garden appreciates the arrival of the baton.
The Batonbearers took over to a boat on Lake Dal. Was a spectacular sight to see. The ships were ready to ensure a smooth trip to Makki Poit ghat was received the baton by the Director of Tyndale Biscoe School. School children lined both sides of the road. The relay began from the point Makki the botanical garden. In the botanical garden received the baton by Shri Shyam Lal Sharma, Honorable Minister of Health and Jenab Mohd Yaseen Shah, MLA.
The witness was taken around the garden golf carts before the car mounted on horses.
The next stop was the baton of Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) door where he received the baton by Janab Aslam Nasir Wani, Minister of Tourism / HUD / income and honorable place Jenab Abdul Rahim, Minister Finance and Ladhakh issues. A colorful cultural ceremony was organized by J & K cultural academy. The main attraction was the dance and dance Ladhaki Dogri. Shera also danced on stage with artists.
